Superflute Bowl Gouges

Designed by Peter Child this bowl gouge has been very popular since 1978. The size of the tool is measured by the width of the flute, not the diameter of the steel (example: 1/2" tool is made of 5/8" steel). The tool length is 9". The 1/4 and 1/2" sizes have a 12" handle. The handle length of the 1/2" and 5/8" is 15".

The 1" diameter high speed steel is a very large bowl gouge that can remove large amounts of wood quickly. It is recomended for experienced turners. The tool length is 9-1/2" with 15" handle.
