Multi-Tip Shear Scraper

This is an extremely useful tool that combines a shear scraper and a small hollowing tool. The round shape of the 3/4” semi-circular tool shank allows the turner to position the tool properly at 45 degrees for shear scraping when using the HSS teardrop cutter (RS200C) included. The flat section of the shank allows the turner to use the two HSS Hollowing Cutters to undercut lips of bowls or hollow into blind holes and small vessels. The swivel holder allows the cutter to be swiveled, allowing access in a wide range of hollowing situations. Overall length is 19" with a handle length of 12".

Available as an option are cutters that allow you to cut beads and coves easily. Each cutter has two different sizes. The cove cutters can also be used as as small shear scrapers to refine shapes and make smoothing cuts.

Included with the standard Multi-Tip: Instructions, Teardrop Cutter (RS200C), 2 H.S.S. Hollowing cutters (RS211 & RS212), wrench.

The Midi Multi-Tip is a smaller version of the Multi-Tip Scraper. It is used for hollowing end grain, or shear scraping on boxes and smaller end grain turnings. The shank is made from round steel with a 1/2" wide flat on one side for stability during hollowing. The other face is rounded to facilitate shear scraping to get a smooth cut that requires little sanding.

The Midi Multi-Tip comes with two 1/8" wide high speed steel cutters. One with a rounded end, the other with a pointed end. Also included is a teardrop scraper blade for shear scraping. The shank length is 7" and comes fitted with a 10" Ash Handle.
