If you only have access to 110 volt electricity, you’ll be restricted to the 1.5HP Sweet 16 model. But if you have access to 220 and if you plan on taking the gap out and turning larger work, get this 2HP upgrade when your purchase your Sweet 16 lathe. It is expensive to make this change later on, as both the motor and the drive need to be swapped out.
Must be ordered at the same time as ordering the Sweet 16 Lathe. Not available as a retrofit.
