Description: Heartwood is yellow-beige with maroon to black wavy streaks, which gives the wood a marbled appearance. Grain is straight, sometimes wavy, or interlocked.

Warning: Marblewood is not kiln dried and can be prone to cracking if turned before it reaches a lower moisture content. The moisture content can be checked with a moisture meter until it reaches about 10%. An alternate method is by weighing the piece until the weight stabilizes.
