Distribution: Tropical Americas, down to Brazil

Louro Preto heartwood is often a medium brown with either a reddish or olive cast and has darker brown streaks throughout on many pieces. This wood will darken as it ages. It's one of the more oily tropical hardwoods, but is still easy to work with, turn, or glue.

These blanks are slightly larger than our normal pen blanks and measure 1" sq x 6"
