Australian Figured Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon) is native to Tasmania and Eastern Australia but has also been introduced to Africa, South America, and southern Asia. The heartwood is generally a reddish brown or medium gold with figured grain. This wood turns, glues, stains, and finishes well. 

Our pen blanks measure 3/4" square and vary from 5" to 6" in length.
