The Master Wolverine System consists of the following items.

Two Bases that are made of Extruded Aluminum mount under each wheel to provide a way to secure the attachments that are being used. Each base has a cam-lock for easy use and measures 8" long by 3-1/2" wide and 1-1/2" high.

One Tilting Platform that gives support for sharpening scrapers, gouges and parting tools. It can be tilted to a wide range of angles and can be moved toward or away from the wheel. The platform is made of 1/4 thick steel and measures 3 x 5.

One V-Arm Attachment that can be used to sharpen Bowl Gouges (standard grind), Roughing Gouges or Parting Tools, by resting the butt end of the tool handle in the "V" pocket and the Cutting edge on the grinding wheel. The angle of the bevel is set by moving the V-Arm closer or farther away from the grinder.

Vari-Grind JigThe optional Vari-Grind Attachment is used with the Wolverine System to make fingernail grinds on spindle gouges and side grinds on bowl gouges.

The head of the jig is articulated so a wide range of different grinds can be accomplished with a just little practice. The Vari-Grind is used with the V-Arm Attachment that comes with the basic sharpening system. The Vari-Grind can also be used by itself if the customer wants to make his own base to support it.

Wolverine Dressing JigIf a grinding wheel is not "dressed", cleaned of metal particles and flattened, it will not grind efficiently, producing poor results.

A lot of grinding frustration is eliminated by keeping your grinding wheel in the best possible shape to sharpen your tools.

The optional Dressing Attachment uses a single point diamond, held in an arm that is moved across in front of the grinding wheel surface. The diamond is adjusted towards the wheel using the knob. The jig can be adjusted to remove as little as .003" per pass.
