This 1" diameter drive center has a special peg instead of a point on the end. This peg is designed to fit into the hole made by the Lamp Auger. To drill a workpiece, start the hole, then reverse the piece and use the Counterbore Drive Center in the hole that was just drilled. Next drill in from the other end of the piece to meet the first hole. This way the workpiece can be drilled all the way through. This drive center is also very useful when combining spindle parts that need to be centered with one another.
