SKU: 112530 Carter Strongbore Boring System (PKG)

Used for drilling peppermill blanks and for making depth holes in vessels. The Strongbore is a drill bit extension system that is made to hold standard 3/8" shank Forstner Bits. It is made of 3/4" diameter steel for stiffness, and has a #2 Morse Taper to fit in the lathe tailstock. It does not require a drill chuck and has extensions that are added to make it longer as needed.

The Strongbore Starter Package is made up of three pieces: one #2MT Holder, one 3" Extender piece, and one 3/8" Shank drill bit holder. The pieces screw together and are locked with a set screw. Flats are provided for wrenches to loosen. Overall length when assembled is 9". Extra 3" and 6" extensions are available extensions are available.
